The Tribe of Judah was one of the 12 tribes of Israel and was the first tribe to take its place in Israel. Judah was known as the tribe of praise. This was the tribe that went first into battle, thanking God for His favor. There are several stories in the Bible where the Tribe of Judah went first, and the enemy fled. Today, we start a service with worship to welcome in the presence of God and set a tone of thankfulness and praise. Worship leaders are often considered "The Tribe of Judah" because their job is the same as the Tribe of Judah from so long ago.
